i love the classic rock bands too, and have kept all my original albums, and stairway to heaven is my all time fav from led zep, that and king crimsons epitaph. Music just goes round in circles now, Nothing much original that has not been done before. Though saying that i heard antony and the johnsons album with the song hope theres someone and it gave me goose bumps, and thats a once in 15 year occurrance for me. A strange androgynous band but pretty original i thought. A bit Nina simone who i love, but worth a listen.

your right the music that is around today is pretty unmemorable i dont think we will see many classics like stairway around in years to come. for me the 70,s were the best so much good stuff came out. i dont get to play much classic rock these days as it doesnt get much work for the band. but when i see my old pals (who i still keep in touch with after all this time) we do kinda let our hair down (thankfully i still have some he he he)
