Akritas Plan, what was it?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Socrates » Fri Jul 14, 2006 2:02 pm

So it was a cunning 'under the table' long term plan to unify with Greece, and rid the island of the TC population!!

The first part is absolutely correct and the plan alone can prove it.

About the rid of the population are the words that Makarios used were suggesting something like that but by the plan we can tell for sure what they wanted to rid them out of the constitution with out any legal respect, like EOKA B was did. But then Makarios position was not on risk that’s why the meaningless life of the Cypriot people was a logical miss.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to try to defend makarios sickness accordingly from what he said and attacking with out any arguments and with out the balls to admit what Makarios speech about the TC was total sickness.

And of course now that you converted it into your own schizophrenic ranting platform ...it has been balanced out!

Kifeas don't waste your time, the bloke is clearly a complete idiot. I'm also pretty sure that there are a few people on this forum who claim to be a GC, but who are actually TCs.

Makarios was a shrewd politician. He measured every single word that came out of his mouth. To claim that he said those horrible and detested things while in a state of despair and frustrution is totally insane. Makarios wanted enosis and furthermore he wanted to emulate Eleftherios Venizelos and eventually become the Prime Minister of Greece. He denounced enosis (and of course AKEL followed) when he finally realised that it could not be achieved. By then, the damage was done.

Yes I agree but I can’t prove what he wanted to be prime minister but I can prove his megalomaniac madness.

Insane are people like you who without having personal knowledge and any undisputed evidence can claim that the above words are a true reflection of Makarios aims and intentions, rather than a profound outburst of frustration and anger. Someone with such intentions and ideas doesn’t reveal them so overtly in a public speech, inside or outside a church and in the presence of an "uncontrolled" audience, like in the above case.

What kind of a "shrewd politician that measures every single word that come out of his mouth" is someone that so overtly reveals and discloses his “aims” and “intentions” in the most uncertain terms, especially when they involve or relate to acts of genocide???

Does it really matter who is a TC or a GC on this forum, if they speak the truth that they know it to be accurate. I think it is commendable that any citizen can speak the truth, even if it hurts their own side. Time for sticking ones head in the sand should be long gone by now, if there's going to be any chance of peace in Cyprus. I personally welcome all the comments Kifeas, Piratis, Soto, Miltiades, you and others make, as well as comments from Bananiot, Socrates, Viewpoint and others from apposing views. I don't have to agree with all of you all the time, but between all of us, there are lot of truths, and a lot of misinformation being passed around. The question is how to seperate the crap from the truth, and one way to do that is to follow this rule, and that is, "where there's smoke, there's fire". So look for the "smoke" in the comments from each member. Don't be misguided by "smoke screens" however.
