No solution on the horizon! Turkey remains intransigent.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No solution on the horizon! Turkey remains intransigent.

No solution on the horizon! Turkey remains adamant, intransigent and entrenched behind the scandalously favorable to their objectives, ill-conceived and thus failed Annan plan, despite Talat’s reluctant willingness the other day to negotiate a solution even from scratch.

Gul, after meeting with Ibrahim Gambari -the U.N. undersecretary general for political affairs that visited Turkey yesterday, expressed his intransigent position that Turkey attributes high importance that no shift should happen in the parameters of the Annan plan. Unfortunately, no new UN initiative can take place any time soon, since I doubt that Mr. Talat -despite his expressed desire to dis-entrench himself from the strict frames of the Annan plan, will dare to go against the will and the views of the "neo-ottoman empire" in the north of Cyprus.

The victims in this case are clearly those Cypriots who have been led to believe that the International community and the EU would recognise the legality of the creation of Turkey , the "TRNC ".
The US has already made it clear that recognition is not on the cards.
Where then for Cyprus and for Turkey's 40 year dream of European membership.
The Cypriot people Greeks and Turks must unite and demand a solution that the vast majority will find at least workable if not altogether fair.
The Annan plan was merely legitimising the status quo and most certainly audacious in its pretence that it was a reunification plan.

The aim of Turkey has always been partition. They have never accepted anything less than that and this is why they insist on the Annan partition plan.

What remains to be seen is if they are willing to sacrifice their EU accession for their illegalities in Cyprus.

When Turkey has such an attitude then what kind of negotiations can be made?

Don't kid yourself , Turkey wont walk away from the EU , Not for Cyprus not for anyone else.
She will go along just as all the other members , including the most stubborn of them all the UK.
Are you suggesting that Turkey does not consider membership of the EU important enough so as to show flexibility in solving the Cyprus problem .

Turkey used to insist to take it all. Even the fact that we accepted her to start the EU process was too much. Yet she doesn't seem to understand. Its about time that she starts understanding.

Dont know what the sold out American slaves in Greece will do. I mean Bakoyianni and the American bower Karamanlis and Mitsoatakis family. However I know what Great Tassos Papadopoulos will do.

Simple. Turkey will continue dragging us from the rope attached on our collar like little puppies. As we always have been. In fact it is us who provided her, both the rope and the collar.

But hold on, its not us the GCs who got used to be dragged like little puppies. It’s you the TCs!!!

On a serious note now. Turkey will walk out of the EU. That's certain. They want to see with their own eyes the consequences. That's how Turkey works. This is their mentality. Everything they do they must be 100% certain is correct.

After they make sure they cannot stand the consequences, they will change Government and come back.
The problem is: can they do this 70 times????
