Hi bigtrees,

I live in Erimi, which is close to both Kolossi & Trachoni - what would you like to know?

There are a couple of websites at: http://www.kolossi.org/ and http://www.trachoni.com/

Trachoni has a village hymn, which is 'interesting' :

I Dream of Trachoni.

I dream of a united Trachoni, where everyone supports the Authorities and the Authorities provide for all, where the opposition cooperates and together they look after the people.

I dream of a united Trachoni, where every house joyously contributes so that the whole will be strengthened.

I dream of Trachoni, where everyone works with enthusiasm, consistency, and a vision for the benefit of the whole.

A Trachoni where every inhabitant does not expect everything to be taken care of by the Authorities but participates actively in changing things for the better, offering time and actions unselfishly for work that will benefit all.

Where "worthy" is the one who offers more and demands less, thus strengthening our shared financial capability.

A Trachoni where everyone greets one another whether they know each other or not, greeting with the message "brother, we stand together". Where everyone respects and cares for one another and the environment.

Where words turn to actions and promises and love are actual deeds. A Trachoni were the inhabitants are characterized by integrity and the Authorities are glad to serve them.

A Trachoni where everyone does his part for our common fund with pleasure, which the Authorities utilize in absolute fairness and effectiveness for the benefit of all; for the constant improvement, progress, development and common welfare.

I dream of united Trachoni where everyone, transcending political parties, dogmas, and personal interest, works together in unity and with selflessness for the benefit of the whole.

This community, the united one, is a happy and harmonious whole, a model of progress and a model Community. It is also invincible and invulnerable to all dangers, internal or external

"Dream come true with deeds"

Hi Bigtrees,

Don't cross Kolossi off your list - pay a visit & see what you think. I have several friends living there and they all enjoy life.

Can't really comment on Trachoni

There's a castle in Kolossi well worth visiting. You can imagine you're one of the Knights Templar wooing a beautiful princess (or vice versa, no worries.)

From what I've been led to believe Richard Coeur de Lion wasn't averse to wooing his beautiful knights.
