You are not allowed to get any cats from saint nicholas of cats. It is against the law.

Well I dont know about it being EU harmonized. It was a law back when we used to visit. There was even a sign warning you about it. Of course things might have changed, so I am not gonna say you can cut my head off if i am wrong

there is a place called barc in episkopi that takes in abandoned cats/kittens dogs/puppies alway slooking for god homes
