Sending parcels from UK to Cyprus

Postby eracles » Thu Jun 22, 2006 2:23 pm

Hi, i need to send loads of parcels probably weighing around 15-20kg each to Cyprus. Using companies like parcelforce or ups is really expensive. Anybody got any experience of this, any cheaper options???

Thanks for your help,

How much is Fed Ex? They claim to have lowered their prices. Same for dhl.

There is a company in North London called Mondial. They have an option of preset cubic measurement whcih are a flat rate, for example a cubic metre so if you cram it, its works out quite cheap.

Call and ask for George, tell him Chris with the Ferrari sent you.
He's far cheaper than anyone else and even collects from your home.

How long would a parcel take from the UK to Cyprus? I sent mine on the 13th...

The Parcelforce tracking thing is not working today but i think it said "International HUB" on friday... does that sound right?

I regularly get goods shipped in by Parcelforce and they arrive in three days.

I did have one that got stuck in the "International HUB" a few months back – turned out it was sitting on a shelf at Heathrow.

Maybe you should call them and demand to know where it is and how much longer before you get it.

I checked again today and noticed a more detailed history, apparently it left country of origin on the 20th. I will check the mailbox later today...
