Totally boring and in addition to whatever else has been said!
Leave the beach to the tourists between 11am and 4pm, umbrellas offer some protection but not from the hot winds blowing in from the sea.
Drink more water and fruit juices instead of alcohol avoiding dehydration.
Eat light meals, salads fruit etc and reduce red meat intake.
Ensure a balanced salt intake, if you cant take salt in your food ask your doctor/pharmicist if salt tablets would be suitable for you.
Use air conditioning sparingly, the more you get used to it the hotter it seems outside.
Wear cotton or linen clothes, not synthetic textiles, same goes for bed linen. Stay away from foam filled mattresses or pillows, better to sleep on the floor than use these.
If you can sleep midday, remember to turn off the phones before bedding down.
Dont believe that because you are olive/dark skinned or of Cypriot origins that you can take the heat, my wife a former Famagusta beach goddess succumbed to sunstroke in of all places ........................Bournemouth UK, something I've never ever let her forget!
If you are 'really' wealthy or like to be seen as such theres no need to sunbathe, only those limited to a two week spell in the heat think that they need to get a quick tan.
