Postby beders1 » Mon Jun 19, 2006 12:20 am

I visit cyprus every year with my family and we love it my dream has always been to pack up and move out to cyprus with my family.
I am currently a qualified padi scuba diving instructor and would love to work in this line of work but i know this kind of work is very seasonal.

I would love to make the move but dont even know were to start i have no money saved so i would be looking to rent somwere to live and the other thing i was not sure about is schooling for my daughters one is 7 years old and the other is only 16 months old.

im not looking for a great job just anought to support my family with somewere to live and food.

But were are not sure on were to start we are going back out to cyprus in august for a couple of weeks.

has anybody got any suggestions on were we should start please,

many thanks

You can come and try to find a job. The hospitality sector doesn't pay much and finding a job without Greek is not easy unless you are self-employed.

best idea is to get out here for a couple of weeks and ask around as has been said lots of times on this forum word of mouth is the best way to get a job

Hi,

There are two diving centres on the Dhekelia Road, Oroklini,Larnaca as said if you come out for a week or two, you could go in and ask them.
Its not what you know here, its who!!!!!

There is no money in working for a dive centre – certainly not enough to support a family even in the summer months. Running your own dive centre maybe but the initial outlay is obviously quite high.
