Firstly let me remove the apostrophes from the words Cypriots and compatriots and let me remind you of your country's name Its Cyprus didn't you know that makes you a Cypriot not a Turk from Turkey but a Turkish Cypriot.
Please go back to your last post and remove that """difficult to subscribe to you we are all "Cypriots" theory ""
Its not a bloody theory man its a fact. If you are such an anti Cypriot then clear off to your motherland.
Cyprus is and will remain Cyprus as it always was long before your beloved motherland conquered Cyprus in 1571 , and even then the Turkish Cypriots rebelled against the Ottomans , I'm not going to give a history lesson , you can find that in International reference books.
Let me just finally make it abundantly clear to you and to other Cypriots of similar views.
Cyprus belongs to the Cypriots , the Greek and Turkish flags are the property of foreign nations that have for years been causing trouble on our land.
I suggest that all motherland bullshitters piss off out of Cyprus. It wont happen I hear you say . Well let us wait and see .

Viewpoint , the post below was by you therefore the author denying or rather disputing the existence of Cypriots was yourself. The usage of the apostrophes as well as the use of Theory to describe my Cypriotness denotes your rejection of the Cypriot concept.
Here is part of your post .

YOU WROTE .
"You are allowed your dreams no one is trying to deny you this right but being a realist I find it difficult to subscribe to you we are all "Cypriots" theory when the two sides cant even talk to each other and are still playing political games. The will, vision and desire do not exist on either side of the divide this is reality. ""

Surely in a democratic world I to am allowed to express my own opinions about "Cypriotism" which is an ideology which has yet to come into fruition as the eligable majority of potential "Cypriots" have yet to adopt the idea. The majority still view themselves as Turkish or Greek Cypriot not just "Cypriot" as you like to refer to yourself as.

People like you may be the seed for future generations to feel just "Cypriot" but this cannot be forced and there are many factors which have to fall into place before this seed can grow into your ideology of one people one country. You should not take offence at people like me who have grown up in the TRNC. Recognized or not, a pseudo or not, its what we know and love. We take pride in being Turkish Cypriots. Only over the last two years have we been able to experience the south which is alien to people like me. I dont feel like the south is part of my country and when i visit im a like a foreigner as the language barrier is very evident just like ı experience in other countries. As the years pass and older generations die out and we willno longer have recollections of how the past was good or bad. If the steps are not taken by both sides to encourage unfication and show people that we can live work and prosper together then your dream will never become a reality and we will continue as we are today. I apologise if my words are negative and blow against your ideology but to much water has passed under the bridge and attitude opinions change. Believe me my genreation have a harder view of GCs today than we had before the borders we opened, is this still down to TC propaganda or is a reflection on the GCs and their administration?

I agree with viewpoint realism and I like the dream of Miltiades but it’s just a dream for the feature.

Our society is far away from accepting TC as their compatriots the examples are to many and there is a fresh one at Politis:
http://www.politis.com.cy/cgibin/hweb?- ... rticles&-p

An Egyptian Muslim with Cypriot nationality have been married with a Muslim women and we do not let her to come to cyprus with her husband because our European “democracy” do not allow Muslim weddings.

This is absolutely ridiculous and it shows exactly the point of view of viewpoint, what we are far away from Miltiades dream and we have to act dynamically if we want this madness to stop.

Call me Marios because the zoppovortos is the middle name of every Cypriot toppouzo-patriot and is just my reaction about the grouwuptc nick name.

The opponent of Makarios Mr Dervis have said:

Zoppovorte Kipriake lae.

Junkass Cyprus people.

and he was absolutely right.

Viewpoint I appreciate your sincerity , and of course you can express your views , I was merely correcting or rather objecting to the usage of the apostrophe denoting that there is no such entity as a Cypriot.
My dream is shared by thousands of Cypriots the world over who like me are Cypriots first , just as our ancestors were and Greek or Turkish second. AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED THE ONLY THING THAT EITHER Greece or Turkey have that we don't is numerical superiority . We have nothing to learn from Turkey or Greece.
There are genuine Cypriots who will push their ideology as you call it , I call it realism and common sense because the only common denominator between the two communities is CYPRUS.
I have scores of Turkish Cypriots living in the UK who also consider me their compatriot .
And yes I believe that the occupied part of Cyprus is mine too as well as the free part is yours.
Below is a post by zoppovortoi and also your post agreeing with his comments. Can you please tell me , because I don't understand , what exactly are you agreeing with.

who is that growuptcs person? he had over 100 posts without the admin doing sumfin about it...

miltiades, u kno very well i share ur ideas that there is only one nationality in cyprus...we are all cypriots...do the americans call themselves spanish, english, german, dutch or african? no!

anyway, to the point...i do however, agree that unfortunately its a dream at the moment with so much politics keeping us apart...

theres a good turkish song called Dimitris from Samos and the singer sings about his old friend dimitris who he used to be best friends with and now they are seperated due to the whole aegean islands politics...the line that always gets me in this song is "the fish dont listen to borders"...

how can we live together with so much political propaganda still going on...they discreetly breed hate for the other side...look at marios' example...they make out like muslim marriages is wrong :| its a damn shame
