So my prediction of CY£2k per month should be sufficient seeing as we (Only 2 of us!) will not have a mortgage or any debts........

Work your money like a b***h and keep it off shore whilst having a full time job which pays good money!

Play the markets and have the confidence in your convictions!

I have also been warned about this whole jelousy thing, I am coming over in August and all people can say is ohhh watch it, people will act like your friends until you become successful and then they change etc.

This comes from members of my family who have lived there as well as friends.

That does not really happen in the uk, but then the population is more therefore there is more business to go go around I guess. no one really takes any notice of what anyone else is doing. I have lived in my house for 7 years and only started talking to the neighbours last year!!!! just because everyone does there own thing.
My Husband is greek and is fluent in the language (his parents from Greece) I am half greek (cypriot) and speak little of the language. we have been warned that we will not be welcomed into the community and things will be made difficult for us.
we really want this to work, everyone is against us on the move and we would love to prove them wrong!!!!

I am lucky that not only will I be with my Husband and 2 kids but my 2 sisters, mum and dad are coming along for the ride!!

Hopefully not everyone in cyprus is of the same opinion and we can build a new life there without having to run back to England. xx

We are moving out there with a couple who are our very good friends.

Most importantly, my wife is also my best friend and I love spending time with her so if we encounter any of this nonsense, at least I will spend all my time with the one person I would choose to..........

I consider myself a very lucky man!

Jazzy, while a lot of what you have been told might be true, it is also a bit exaggerated. I think that you will not find it as hard as people make it sound.

im sure a lot of people live in debt - they appear to be doing well i.e summer vacations, designer gear, flashy cars but they have huge loans and maxed out credit cards.
its pretty sad ........
