I dont miss foggy days or the grey that lasts for ever, the drizzle, scrapping the ice of the car in the freezing cold.. i dont miss the extortionate council tax, or the central heating bills... I do miss the good shopping sprees, lakeside in thurrock, and common sense, reasonable driving skills, further education, where you can just enrol in a college and learn something new.. and i still miss fresh runner beans... and good chocolate.. and rossis ice cream.. the fresh cockles and whelks, and antique shops.. great boot sales and most of all my family..

Hehe, about the trees in the middle of pavements...We had some of those in front of my Nans house in CY, everytime you walked on the pavement you had to walk in a very uncomfortable fashion...We had a bit of a problem with neck cramp, as you can imagine.....My Nan got so annoyed with them she got rid of them last year...although it was a slight shame as they were olive trees.....

OOO i used to shop in both lakeside and blue water, theres our answers guys wee need one of these huge malls in cyprus, with and english veg shop for unique earthling, an english sweet shop for me, and a space for boot sales once a week! And we can make sure they plant decorative trees to the side and not in the middle where ppl are walking! This mall will also run a very reliable transport service for customers island wide! Then we can truely call cyprus heaven LOL

i wonder if they will ever get to building a good shopping mall, with a boots drug store and runner beans at every corner, and pik and mix, with clothes that dont make me look like a hooker on a bad day.. or it could be like a hooker on a good day, what ever rocks ya boat.. and i want chicken thats corn fed and hasnt died of old age and is tough as old boots.. and... and... i want, big big mounds of milk chocolate, english style.. sherbet flying saucers, and english cakes that are not frozen and ready microwave suet puds, and and petit pois peas. Sorry i am going on a bit.. NEXT!!

Yes a decent cup of tea

We live in one the highest mountain villages and I'm sure the water boils at a lower temparature

Someone told me it had something to do with atmospheric pressure but maybe they were taking the michael??
