Miltiades asked me the same question last month and I wrote him a page of my self a little.

It's under: Cyprus Problem Solution Proposals.

Under Subject : The Latvia Model For Cyprus . Page 3.

Don't be afraid being shot down, so lets hear from you.

underground trains are a nightmare.
Ok, they are fast and get you from A to B quickly, however especially in lONDON (UK) there has been many times when the train just stops in a tunnel and stays there for sometimes 10-20 mins.... this always happens during rush hour when the trains are so packed that peoples faces are squashed up against the doors and if you are unluckly enough to be in the middle of the packed train, no doubt you will have your face in someones sweaty armpit. ughhh its horrible I shudder at the thought of the tube system.

We have had quite a few breakdowns on tubes over here lately and tempretures have reached 30's. people have been stuck in tunnels for hours before being rescued having to walk down the railway tracks to the next stop. obviously people where treated for dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Its not good to have all thoses people packed so tightly in that heat breathing other in other peoples used air beacuse thats all there is avaliable. and you always get that person who pusheson at the last minute when there really is no room!!!!!!
there is also no air on the platforms or the trains.

Phew.... Ive had my moan about the underground now, I feel better!!
Wont be missing them thats for sure especailly with the heat in cyprus

Sorry, could you rephrase your question, please. Residents and non residents who sell immoveable propert here are subject to CGT, whatever the source of the funds. I am just about to be faced with a CGT bill of £31,000, even my lawyer cannot find a way of reducing it!

If I have not answered your question, please feel free to ask again or pm me if you prefer.

The train between nicosia and famagusta ???

Its stopped for exactly the same raison !! no customers !

Being brought up in Southend on Sea - I miss the pier. I think a nice long pier in Cyprus would be good, with facilities for fishing and of course a good pub/resteraunt at the end. Walking out over the sea is a really great thing to do, so quiet and peaceful!!

Has anyone mentioned common sense yet? :-) I have to vent on this one, but why do property developers and/or city councils think that planting trees in the middle of pavements/sidewalks is a good idea?
Sure they look nice the first few years but when they grow they just end up ripping up the side walk and making it unusable AND dangerous....

If you didn't have lousy corrupt council members and city services to maintain the trees and the pavements, you wouldn't have a problem.
