I was in paphos once and I could hardly see a cypriot.

she underlined colour and favour and favourite and neighbour with red ink and she put a bunch of exclamations next to them every time. I had to actually go to the Dean and argue that if something is spell in both ways it should be accepted both ways.


:roll: ... Ridiculous and completely unacceptable on the post secondary level. I can tell you for certain that not all English teachers in North America are this ignorant. :oops:

Yes it is Filitsa and I am sure not everyone is like this. But it was frustrating as it was my first semester here and the only person I knew was my bf at the time. She also said I plagiarized an essay not because she found excerpts of something I copied, but because she "doubted I could write that good because of my spelling errors(as in colour)". Needless to say I left that college after that semester :P
