i think i have said it all we are a nation of self servers who gain on each others miseries ad hardhips and we deserve whatever bad life hands out to us

take a working class cypriot the law says he should earn £600 or whatever we will not hire him why because we can get away with hiring an illegal and get away with just paying him half of what we should pay a greek and if a greek can now no longer find work to sustain himself and his family who gives a shit as long as our fat bellies are full
we hire people and we don't give them a copy of the employment contract because we think we are so clever but all we are is a nation of bloody rip offs

you know growupts right now i would sell u for a decent plate of food
but then to people like yourself that might not make much sense.

you talk about me selling out??
let me enlighten you that it is the rich that sold out the poor of cyprus just spend a little time to think about it and i asure you that you too will reach the same conclusions that i have
the poor working class of cyprus has been sold for cheap foreign labour the govt has taken a back seat and allowed it all to happen cause ofcourse its the employer that pays the tax bill
we can sit here and reminise of what happened when the turks came and what we were dong and who we were doing it with but it certainly won't change the fact that there are days when the poor of cyprus are scatching in bare cupboards lookin for something to eat whilst the foreigners are living like kings cause people like you want to live in the past

YOU WROTE :
"the poor of Cyprus are scratching in bare cupboards looking for something to eat whilst the foreigners are living like kings cause people like you want to live in the past"

What Cypriots are these ? Are you talking about your Anatolian Turks ?

ps. Have taken the liberty of correcting spelling errors. No offence .

For the first time I think I can understand you.
To correct your rightings please substitute the word "rich" by the words "ruling elites".
There is a difference to that. Usually the "ruling elites" are the rich. But not always.
For example it is not the rich in the 60s that wanted Enosis and implanted it in the peasants brains. It was the Church ruling elite, and the teachers ruling elite. The same goes for the Tcs, although I am not sure from which of their Elites the dream for Taksim came from.

Of course it is the rich who send you to the Army to serve your life and be killed when they decide to make war. Of course it is the rich who receive millions commission from every armament they buy using YOUR money. But NOT ALL the rich. In fact the majority of the rich GCs will have more profit if the Cyprob is solved. So this gives us hope.

From 1974 until today there was a Tc elite that was just making millions by using stolen GC properties in the occupied.I am not talking about the average Tc who just got a house to live in -although he was profiting also. Unfortunately for 30 years the "governing elite" of the TCs (Denktash & Co) was also the leader of property profiting elite… Ask the Tcs to tell you how many bussiness, and super modern farms Denktash owns in the occupied-all on stolen gc property.Today we have the other elite of Tc and settlers that sells the GC properties to foreigners, and all those who profit from this bussiness circle. So unless these elites lose power things will never change.

Anyway I understand you are now uneployed or at very difficult economic situation. I know whatever I tell you will not make sense. But please remember my words. Take your fate in your own hands as long as you are young. The soonest the better. This is how things work here. Even someone who sells sandwitches in the streets makes more than 600 pounds…

I said in another topic that our society is cruel.
I said this to our Tc friends who think that after a solution every Gc will love every other Gc and hate every other Tc. No nobody will love anyone either you are a Gc or a Tc. This is how it is, and this is how it will be after a solution. It is upto you each person separately to be what you can be (a first or second class citizen)
