You can get a Sky system installed and a ‘freeview’ card that gives you a limited number of channels (BBC, ITV, etc.) and doesn’t require a monthly subscription.

I had a quote of c. CY£1,600! If it is not roof mounted, you also need a concrete block to mount it on.

I think that was all in (Cards, dish, box etc.)

I can't remember the name of the place we bought all our electrical goods from but they were in Paphos.

Hi,

Thx for the info, its not a bad price if you only have to do it once, don't like the thought of a big eyesore in my garden though.
Thx again

Prices have come down a lot now – we paid CY£800 for ours and it works perfectly. ;-)

You will have no chance of Sky TV in Nicosia with a 2.7m dish if you want any sort of decent channel package...

I live in strovolos and have a 4.3m dish with Sky+ 160 system, and I still get breakup around 8-10pm on some channels and others just plain dont work...

My Dish cost £2400
