Yes, the Turkish and Greek Cypriot conflict was a chain reaction that lead to a disaster. It's almost like a midair collision between two passenger planes. Think about all the mistakes that goes into a midair crashes, which is almost 99% human error. From miscommunication, ignorance, power play by the captain, overworked crew in the air and ground, equipment failure that escaped the crews attention and so on. If any one of those problems were dealt with in a meaningful way, you could have avoided the midair collision. The Turks and the Greeks did not take actions to avert the disaster, instead, we want to find all the answers from the "black box", when infact, if the safety and security and the well being of the passengers (Cypriots) were their main priority, then there would have been a happy landing. Lets hope the future flights (Cyprus) have a better crew to handle every concern that the pasengers (Cypriots) have, to avoid future midair collisions (wars).
