Windsurfing in Limassol ?

Postby subzerohk » Fri Jun 09, 2006 12:11 pm

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can rent windsurfing gear in Limassol ?

OR where I might look to buy second hand equipment ?

Have been driving to Pissouri which takes a while and can get expensive so looking for closer option.

Cheers,

You could get your own... there are few places in Limassol where you could buy second hand equipment.
One is in Limassol Aneksartesias area and another one is on the way to new port called "Force 8"

What exactly are you looking for?

Hey raymanuva,

Thanks for your msg. I'll take a look in Force 8.

I'm not looking for anything too fancy. I've been windsurfing on and off for years and having recently relocated to the island thought it'd be good to spend some time back on the water. Not up to speed on the latest advancements, but need say a 5.5m rig and a fairly stable board.

I'd be interested in joining you down at ladies mile, but will need some kit first, mind. Cheers..

We had a lovely action weekend, anyone wanna join me for a next one?
I've ordered a waterproof action camera to be mounted on the mast, next post should be exciting :)
I am not sure how fast i was going there, looking for a GPS device to measure.

well, enjoying while there are no many swimmers there... then we have SBA boats chasing us, people screaming and getting panic attacks... etc. Gotta enjoy while it lasts. I need flat water to go faster, and flat water is closer to the shore... Summertime we usualy stay really late to get close to the shore, but daytime there is just no way...

When we were over we went to Ladys Mile as my partner kite surfs but we weren't impressed with it. We had heard it was a really good place to go, but having thought we had found it and couldn't see anyone else out on the water, we think that we were in the wrong place. We seemed to drive forever down a bumpy road, should we have kept going? I am sure we were in the right area, but not a clue how we missed the place to go out on the water

deedeepuss, kitesurfing @ LAdy's mile is only in wintertime. You should keep going right till the last restaurant, you cant go any further sicne there is a RAF's barberwired fence.. Summertime is usualy @ Paramali and Kourium.
