Clerides concessions

Postby Sotos » Fri Jun 02, 2006 12:16 am

A NEW book covering the 10-year Presidency of Glafkos Clerides confirms the general belief among Greek Cypriots that their side has been making too many concessions without getting anything in return.

Has Cleredes been making too many concessions without getting anything in return? If "yes" why? If "no" what did we get in return?

Cleredes was following the "good boy" policies initiated by Vassiliou. The policy was simple: We are the weak so lets bent and let them f*ck us.

What is ridiculous is that we needed somebody "wise" and experienced as Cleredes to do the easy job of giving up everything. Even Outopos could have done that!

What is sad is that Cleredes had stolen the votes of the Cypriot people by promising one thing and doing another behind closed doors. This had as a result the waste of a whole decade and the Annan partition plan.

Today people have finally woke up and support somebody that is willing to fight for what is right and just. The "Pants down" policies of Cleredes and Vassiliou belong to history.

Well dont get to excited as you can clearly see your current Turk hater leader has gotten you absoulutey nowhere. You are further away from a solution than you have even been, you can make as many excuses as you wish but your pants up policy will get you more of the same. Status Quo...

Turk hater?? Why? Anybody that demands respect to Cyprus and its citizens from Turkey is a "Turk hater"? Those that promote hate are those that insist on illegalities and human rights violations. These are Turkey and their puppet leadership in occupied Cyprus.

You are further away from a solution than you have even been

We are further away from the "solution" that would legalize partition and the violations of our human rights. The further we get from such "solutions" the closer we get to a true solution which will make Cyprus a united democratic country were the human rights of all citizens are respected regardless of their race, langauge and ethnic background.

Turkey is the one putting forward proposals and saying they cannot move forward until a solution is found, your leader was a Turk hate back in the 1960 and still is to this day his stance only stimulates your inner hate for us the the Turks thats why you find satisfaction in what he does or says or the lack of it. He is the most insincere leader you have ever had and no the man that will bring you the desired solution, you have what you support which is the current statıs quo, this will continue as long as you keep him and his cronies in power.

We have partition, we are the ones and the world acknowledges that we are more pro unification thean you guys. So dont preach about a solution you are all theoretical and no action, if your administration was so for a aolution they would be more proactive in driving the dynmaics which produce results, they are stagnant and pro status quo which will cement partition, only a matter of time  Thank you Mr Papadop keep up the good work....

You say this because Papadopoulos stoped you from realizing your dream of official partition. If you, a partition supporter, do not like him, it is just another clear evidence of why Papadopoulos is good for Cyprus.

We have partition, we are the ones and the world acknowledges that we are more pro unification thean you guys.

How? By having 40.000 occupation troops enforcing an illegal partition of Cyprus and totally ignoring the UN resolutions that call for the withdrawal of all foreign troops and the respect of the sovereignty of Republic of Cyprus??

If you were pro-unification then partition would have never happened. Partition has been your dream for many decades so you coming to tell us that you are pro-unification is the biggest joke ever.

What you are "pro" is pro a "solution" that would legalize your illegalities and partition, e.g. Annan plan.
