Excellent, I'd better be at my best behaviour from now on. I'm not posting anything that may upset you or my compatriots. :D

mrfromng, I'm quite impressed on how civil you can be during appropriate times. I'm sure everyone appreciates that. When either side start flaring something up, your the first one to grab your rifle. Myself included. Beyond all the patriotism we all display, we're just ordinary human beings. The only thing we all agree to at this point is that BOTH sides suffered as much as the other.

Does it sound like propaganda if I ask, since we both suffered as much as each other, is it right to have the Annan Plan? If so, please explain.

Growuptcs, I guess I'm guilty of having a short fuse. This is something most Cypriots suffer from. Regardless of all the rubbish I may have said in my moment of anger one thing you can be assured of is my love of Cyprus and Cypriots.

As you say, we have all suffered, some more than others. If in my lifetime I can see a final and just settlement to this problem I will die a very happy man. This should not be such a difficult goal to achieve as I believe Cypriots are the kindest, most generous and caring race on the planet. This applies to both GC's and TC's. So why cant we put these qualities to good use and reach out to one another for peace?

Cyprus belongs to all Cypriots, lets all enjoy it.

The Annan plan was not accepted by the GC's. It was offered to the people of the ROC and was overwhelmingly rejected. I, and the majority of TC's respect that. The ideal would have been for your administration to suggest an alternative and keep the momentum going. This was not the case.

I, and the rest of the world would love to know exactly what kind of settlement would make the ROC happy.

My personal opinion is that the Annan plan, with a bit of fine tuning is workable.

mrfromng, a lot of us Cypriots have that genetic of having a short fuse, I'm one of them. But we also have that same genetic of not backing down either for what is right, no matter what is thrown at us. I think we respect each other for outbursts time to time with good intentions, not deadly ones that we portray. We're just pawns in a chess game. Fact is we can be delightful to one another when spoken to each other respectfully. Past is past and I'm not bringing any of that in this thread.
I actually had enough of writing on this merry-go-round forum that doesn't end, but lately I been reading some constructive threads from members that see light. It's much nicer reading and answering to these kind of threads that bring hope and peace.

Not mentioning any names but there are one or two people that need to get off their high chair and realise that its not just British people who are greedy. Look at the rip off prices Cypriots charge tourists in tourist areas. The prices they charge in places like Paphos/Napa etc are more expensive than England. Every nation is guilty of greed so please dont catogrise only the British in this category.

I watched the programme and the presenter frequently warned potential buyers of the dangers involved about buying in the North. He advised buyers to know their market, do research and seek professional legal advice.

So all those Cypriots in England who own chains of Chip Shops, are they being greedy or are they just being business like? Just a question.

I have bought in South Cyprus by the way.

This has absolutely nothing to do with what this thread is about.

Just sticking up 4 us Brits. I didn't appreciate a number of posts saying that we are greedy - so yes it does!
