Channel 5 show about Occupied Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby MR-from-NG » Fri Jun 09, 2006 12:17 pm

Just called CH5 and spoke to a chap called Martin. He assured me that the programme is scheduled for the 13th and will definitely be aired. :D :D

Again, a Turkish lie. I just had a chat with Julie from Channel 5. The show had to be shelved for medical reasons. They didn’t want to get shots for malaria, cholera and other diseases associated with darkest Africa. That might be the least of their worries over in the occupied areas, methinks.

Stick to the rules, do not get into 'firefights' with extremists and there will be no problem.

Svetlana , a few sparks are an important ingredient in order to keep the forum interesting to visitors.
Overall this forum is very well monitored and well respected by most contributors.
The extremists are few and provided they are put in their place by the well indented majority this forum will grow.

So are they going to show it or not? I think Greek Cypriots that live in the UK should boycott the companies that are so insensitive to the suffering of our refugees.

I think it is so unfair that our Turkish Cypriot compatriots are left out in the cold and are being led to believe that sooner or later the international community will bestow legality by recognising the "TRNC "
This will not happen. If it was to materialise then the USA would by now have accorded recognition, the fact of the matter is Cyprus , North , is still officially seen by the international community as a part that is occupied by Turkey.
Recognition will set an important precedent that the United Nations will not wish to see happen for numerous reasons.
The quicker that a solution is found the better for our Turkish Cypriots and for all Cypriots.
