Hey, I beleive that the Greek Cypriots want the Turkish Troops to withdraw and for the whole Island to be reunited! The reason why the independance didn't work in the period 1960-74 is because it was a flawed plan imposed on the Cypriot people, again as in many cases in Cyprus it was in the best interests of outside powers, ie the British etc. Peace!
