little warning for anyone considering buying a parrot from a pet shop. I went to get my parrot food and they had an african grey for sale for 430cyp, the poor thing looked like his feathers were falling out, we asked how old it was and the owner told us it was 10 weeks old. I have read alot about parrots since we bought ours and i know that parrots do not get the yellow tint to their eyes until they are nearly a year, this parrot had yellow eyes, so they were lying about its age to cover up the poor condition it was in. He also says he like most petshops bring them in from abroad. Just make sure you check where the parrot was bred, and check the age. I have friends who bought a parrot in a pet shop as it was so cheap and it cost them hundred of pounds in health care as it had a severe disease of its lungs.
This isnt me trying to still sell mine, i would just like to remind you you get what you pay for so be warned
