LittleMiss, I'm stumped, they've disappeared! Not heard from them in a couple of weeks and neither has anybody else, thanks for reminder and I'll do my best to get some info on them over the coming weekend.
Maybe its just me but this thread seems to be becoming more Pythonesque day by day.
Come on cabbie/Biker/trucker/cant write lysi's suggestion! hunt them friends down and go for the Parrot pitch before littlemiss becomes littlebiggermiss!
littlemiss if its money you need for when the baby arrives invite everyone on the forum to an open air birth party/christening/whatever, everyone bring their own food and booze +£10+ registration fee then we can all coo over the baby pledge eternal love and friendship then fight and argue with each other afterwards. A little self help on this forum wouldnt go amiss and the baby can become the forum mascot as the only innocent.
he he he rotate, great idea! babies have an amazing way of bringing ppl together eh? Not sure i like the idea of the fight after which im sure will be over politics or the past as it usually is between everyone on here. Hey my little george could be the symbol of peace between nations, and new begginings! I will let you know when the christening is lol.
I've been watching your post with interest in the hope that it would go to someone who would give it as much love as you have done.
I'm interested but will not be coming to live in Cyprus until January 2007. I shall be on holiday in larnaca from the 12th july to the 7th of september . If you haven't found anybody to take the parrot by then ( 12 July ) I would love to buy it from you.
I have a friend who also has a african grey and they are more than willing to look after it for me from sept to jan ( I will be visiting Cyprus a couple of times between those dates ) their bird is really well looked after.
So if you you don't get any offers before the 12th July let me know and we could possibly meet and you can check out my suitability.
I tried to pm you but it seems I haven't made enough posts to be able to do that -- although I'm reasonably active on other cyprus forums I haven't had much to say on this one .
I have a 19 year old cocketeil ( with a huge vocabulary ) at present which was a rescue bird -- I took it off a neighbour who breeds cocketiels and as this bird was a spastic ( his words ) was going to kill it . although it can't fly ( deformed wings ) it's managed very well for the last 19 years climing around the cage and walking everywhere when out of the cage.
Sadly it's on it's last legs now ( and costing a fortune in vets fees ) I don't really expect it to last much longer and feel it would not make the journey to Cyprus even if it was possible to take it.
Give my proposal some thought and let me know
If you pm your email address we could discuss this further
