Yes Debbie that is my point. Staying together for the children is not doing the children any favors. It just makes the parents feel better about themselves for not having put their kids through a broken home experience. What they dont realize is that what they are putting them through is much worse.

personally i feel children need male and female imput, role models to aid their personal development and understanding of both sexes, but not at any cost, in a home thats a continuous battle ground, with daily bitter altercations and point scoring, just teaches children not to trust anyone, and makes them fearful and crushes their potential. So each case has to be judged individually, I believe a child developes better in a loving home regardless if they are married or not married, than in one that is loveless. And i have known many single parents have done a good job too. Surely its about stability and quality of love provided and not circumstance.
