If it is illegal, then why are they allowed to do this??? Either it isn't, or most people don't care, apart from sad people who have nothing better to moan about.

Do you know Michalis what a slave means?? Because the way you are using this word indicates to me that you certainly do not.

It happens to know what slave means and this is the reason I am using this word. Having ENosis took place back in 1950s then Cy could be no different to Crete and Rhodes!

  And I thought they were independent. Imagine then, if Greece is a pawn, what is Cyprus - and how can it ever be truly independent?

Seems that your argument has fallen apart.

I'm merely poiting out our ethnicity as Greek, which you try to deny.

Why does my passport and my ID card state that I am cypriot ?

assist?

Postby Mickleham » Sat May 20, 2006 4:36 pm

Greece is assisting now. After the disasters of the past!

Look at the history! read from 1932 on wards. when the reopen the doors from turkey to regain lost right.

Look at the Greek parliament who on two (2) occasions THEY have reject us to joint them in an Enosis.

They thought we will be too much trouble for them

ON (2) OCCASSION THEY HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACCEPT US AS ANOTHER GREEK ISLAND HOWEVER THEY HAVE

REJECTED US

I AM A VERY RPOUD CYPRIOT.
I AM VERY HAPPY THAT THE BULLSHIT ENOSIS WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN NOW!

KEEP GREECE'S FLAG OUT OF CYPRUS. KEEP ALL OTHER NATIONS FLAGS OUT!

Because of the political situation meant that Cyprus could not join Greece like the other islands, even though the Cypriot people at the time overwhemingly voted for it in a poll (96%). What I mean by this is that, Turkey, USA and Britain did not allow Cyprus to join with Greece. The political climate at the time would not allow it, unlike Crete, Rhodes etc. That is why it says Cypriot and not Greek.

Anyway, I accept that Cyprus is now independent. But this does not have to mean that we forget that we are Greek. As a Greek-Cypriot, I feel that I am just as Greek, ethnically-wise, as Greeks from Greece. Although, I accept that GCs are not citizens of Greece, but of Cyprus. I respect that and I respect the Cypriot flag. But as I have stated, this does not mean that we have to forget our Greek identity.
