Why didn't Greece defend Cyprus in 1974?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Should Greece have gone to war with Turkey in 1974?

In other words Greece or the ROC probably would not exist today as we know it if Greece would have embarged into a full out war with Turkey at that point.

What do you mean by this? Why the ROC would not exist If Greece used its rights given by the treaty 1960 to restore the order in 1974?

So Bizonality will be the option!

And thats why one of the Greek-cypriot sides demand is that most of them should leave.
Even Israel removed its settlers from the West bank but does the international community reward turkey for its colonists(anan plan)

just to keep the facts straight.
israel didnot moove its settlers from the west bank , but a small proportion of its settlers.
it makes a difference [/quote

Round and round we go same old crap over and over .

A GC says Israel removed its settlers and Surprise Surprise Surprise TC has to disagree

And dont take this the wrong way as you all do It would be the same crap if a TC said it then a GC would find something to disagree on.

I have shown some friends this site who live in Australia YES they are not GREEK OR TURK and every single one said and they all think they are going to unite with a grin.

My point exactly here you are trying to correct me

You read his original post says nothing about removing ALL settlers so why did you need to add your 2 bob worth.

Like I said TC or GC does not matter you will never see eye to eye.

so typical
why does additional information disturbs us ?
so typical
only the info that suits us should be posted. let us form our "own reality". then we can feel proud of our beliefs
so typical
if the additional information is not good for us then we call it "2 bob worth"
so typical
you could instead say, no your information is wrong. but you chose the typical way : "you are a tc" .
i have a nama for this method of arguments that a number of forum members are using , but lets not get into that.
if you read her original post it sais : "israel removed its settlers". the additional info , brings us closer to the truth. perhaps not closer to our national interests . but that brings the question, is the truth our national interest ?

let me borrow bananiots often used quote from the greek national poet:

Το Έθνος πρέπει να μάθει να θεωρεί εθνικό ό,τι είναι αληθινό

Διονύσιος Σολωμός

one day perhaps we will learn to love our country the way solomos loved his...
perhaps....
one day....
