The Council of Europe just issued a report (you can see the full details on reportfromcyprus.com) to the effect that relations between Greek and Turkish Cypriots is a racist issue.

Thanks!! They seem to have tagged"the Cyprus problem" on the end of a report which at 1st reading doesnt seem to be about GC's and TC's - rather immigration issues - that is "foreigners which yes- I think are racially discriminated against in 2 ways. 1) Foreigners from affluent European countries are considered rich and ready to be ripped off, and 2) Froreigners from "poorer" countries like Pakistan for instance who work like donkeys for very little pay!! (as are a lot of Turkish mainlanders).

in short it is true , our racist and xenophobic tendencies are unfortunately rising in cyprus. more than one studies have shown that already

Yes, it does seem like an afterthought, as if they're not sure how to categorise the issue.

On immigration, the Cyprus Mail had something today about the immigrant protests going on in Nicosia, that seems to back up the report's views.

both ofcource refer to the same things. and what they report is true. one can find it in the report. but the conclusion is rather differemt but as i said many times : be aware of the presentation of "facts"
