This is what a property developer told me on an inspection visit last week?

There has been a rumour of a marina at Pissouri for years – I’ve been told of its ‘definitive location’ on a number of separate occasions by ‘people that know’ (all different locations of course).

The latest rumour is that the new development by The Columbia Beach Hotel at the East end of the beach (they’ve just bought a load of land there) will also include a marina. Quite frankly, I’d be surprised – the water is about 1m deep and you’d have to move millions of tonnes of sand to make a deep birth – it would be an environmental disaster. Perhaps a small ‘marina’ or dock for hotel visitors…

How did the visit to the Aphrodite development go Simon – it’s an Interlink development I believe?

It was Interlinkproperties. They did they say it was by the Colombia Resort. They didn't say when it was planned though.

Thats what I thought 1m is very shallow for a marina but I am no builder I guess! They did say it was near the Colombia Resort. Also mentioned was the improved road from the bay to the village.

I have reserved one of the Aphrodite Gardens developments. It was just a field as you would know but the views and location as fantastic.

They also showed us round the Golfing Complexes - they are stunning but very expensive. I like Pissouri, for the moment, it still has Cypriot charm and is not spoilt like Paphos. Lets hope it stays that way for along time!

I’m interested – what do you get for CY£63,000 there and does that include VAT?
