The other point about editorialising in a story is that the sheer process of choosing which stories go in a paper is subject to human bias and interference. What I bring to your attention as editor must be filtered through your own thought processes and you still have to make up your own mind.

We must not accept everything we're told passively - there's always another point of view!

I can say that ReportFromCyprus is defintely not paid by any government - lol - the general plan is to make income through advertising.

I dont mean to sound rude or mean, but it looks very amateurish to me. But I have to admit maybe it is better than the previous in some ways.

Hope you enjoy the site, and your day!

Hi Sarah

I've been logging onto your site for abit now. Some of the stories are interesting and you cover a good range of topics. I've just logged on now and your front page has nine stories, four of them are about who have died. Don't you think its a little morbid? Surely something more interesting and happy happens in Cyprus? Why not put these onto another page as it doesn't create a nice image (drugs, football fighthing, bank fraud) ok it happens but i think it could be sectioned a little better.

Just a thought that's all.

Do you think it's morbid? I don't see it that way; these are facts of life. Yes, young men are dying of drug overdoses, yes, they are dying in senseless car accidents. They are on the front page - not to upset anyone - but because it's important for us to acknowledge our social problems. Maybe something can be done about them then. I can't think of a better purpose for a publication.

RFC is designed to be short summaries of top stories, the inner pages have different content.
