What happened to the wall of shame?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

What happened to the wall of shame?

Postby MR-from-NG » Fri Apr 28, 2006 3:08 pm

I remember seeing a picture in the papers of a wall on the south, possibly near Ledra Palace with the words "A GOOD TURK IS A DEAD TURK".

Does this wall still exist? If so where exactly is it?

Yes, that flag is the biggest in the world actually and can be seen from all parts of Nicosia.

Turks put that flag there to remind us every day of how they stole our land and ethnically cleansed 1/3rd of the population. Amazing that with such reminders people don't go to write "We love Turks" on the walls every day!

Oh, and by the way, this flag is made by the official Turkish government and their pseudo state in Cyprus. Not by some individual that after loosing half his family during the Turkish invasion went and wrote some message on a wall.

WTF is wrong with you people. Its a simple enough question, is the wall with the inscription "A GOOD TURK IS A DEAD TURK" still there or not?

People who get their " Rocks off" on other peoples misery and pain, do not want peace, and want the partition to remain the same.

So its still there. Isn't it strange that not a single Greek felt it appropriate to get a brush and white-wash it. Well done to all those that are for reunification.

If I wrote on the walls of a Kyrenia building something like "F*** THE GC'S AND F*** REUNIFICATION" I would get a good hiding and it would be white-washed within minutes.

All you European Greeks should hang your heads in shame. You know what, I spit on any Turk that ever mentions reunification to me again.

that's the difference. we have freedom of speech and expression here in Cyprus. Turkey rules with an iron fist!

Have to say I don't actually agree with the slogan on the wall.
