I would recommend a taxi to your hotel and then look in the local shops arround to hire a car... the prices are really much better then at the port/airport let alone on line by Hertz or something! Your transfer to the hotel you can do with cyprustaxireservations.com, pre-payed so no need to have cash on you for that! Car you can pay with Visa or American Expr.
