Ah Politicians, Vah Politicians: Talat 1, Christfias 1

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Wed Nov 10, 2004 9:56 pm

if the 76% is a handful, then whats the 24%? handempty?

This changes must take into consideration the needs of the TC's, otherwise the whole exercise will be a waste of time.

If it doesn't take into consideration the needs of the GCs it will again be a waste of time also.

Bananiot,

Why do you insist on playing the blame game?

I have outlined my view as to what may probably happen over the next few months - that there will be a definite possibility to resume talks before Turkey starts accession negotiations with the EU.

I have outlined the impossibility of Turkey recognising the RoC, the implication being that she cannot recognise 'trnc' because that would mean the recognition of 2 different entities which are mutually exclusive. I can only see a real effort for a solution before urkish entry talks begin.

I think you make assumptions about what is in the brain of various people. I am sure Tassos knows the implications of protacting the solution of the problem and I am sure that he realises that time is not on our side. I believe he is simply doing what any person in his position would probably do and that is use any advatage he may have and gain something in return which would be of benefit to all Cypriots.

You accuse our politicians of being racist and nationalist. Are many TC politicians any better?

A game is being played by all sides here. You cant expect us to just put our hands up and not participate because we will be even bigger loosers if we don't!

Constantinos Mitsotakis: ex Prime Minister of Greece, yesterday.

"Papadopoulos has led Cyprus to international isolation. There is real danger of leading Greece down the drain too".

Mikkie, if it was just Bananiot who worried about Papadopoulos then no problem. However, as you can see many serious and influential people are dead scared too about Papadopoulos's ploys.

Why the refusal to take a better look at tassos secret agenda, he is not doing anything viable or good for the ROC.

This is the most dangerous man since the EOKA people but instead of using guns he is using his mouth and will hurt all cypriots.

STOP FOR A MINUTE AND TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT WHAT HE IS DOING (OR SHOULD I SAY NOT DOING) AND YOU WILL COME UP WITH THE SAME ASSESMENT, DANGEROUS MAN

WHEREEVER YOU CUT YOUR LOSSES IS A GAIN.

You include Mitsotakis in the serious people?

Why the refusal to take a better look at tassos secret agenda, he is not doing anything viable or good for the ROC.

Well, he didn't give us his secret agenda. I guess you must be a very close partner of Papadopoulos to have it.

What we judge is his actions not imaginary agendas. And with his actions we agree (more or less).

Tell me one thing that the majority of Greek Cypriots disagrees with Papadopoulos. Can you find any?

Mitsotakis said: "Papadopoulos has led Cyprus to international isolation.", how? By rejecting the A plan? But we rejected the A plan, and we prefer 100 times this theoretical "international isolation" rather than the A plan. So what did Papadopoulos did that the majority of Greek Cypriots didn't want him to do?

If what you are asking is a dictator, that will do what Bananiot and Mitsotakis want ignoring the will of the majority, you can just forget about it.

Piratis stop flying into one, i admire your dedication but this man is not worth it, as for the will of the people, its what we all want.

His secret agenda is to divide us, if he truely wanted to unite cyprus he can manage it, all he would have to do is say talat come here this is what i want lets negotiate but he does not even do that, every now and again he makes a remark as in he will talk to someone but as we all know words are cheap and its actions that speak, because he is doing nothing that is why many suspect a secret agenda.

As for international isolation, that is nothing and by this time next year it will be forgoton, and anyway who cares you made a democratic dicision and thats that, end of story but i do find it annoying that they treat my cypriot brothers like they done wrong when all they did was not like the bodged plan given to them, so how can they criticise a democratic decision i do not know.
