Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get our shipped furniture and motorbike out of customs quickly and hassle free without paying an agent to do it or should we just pay an agent and grin and bare it

Hi eric,

i am sorry to say that the words 'quickly and hassle free without paying' do not appear in the greek vocabulary. Nothing is quick and easy here and you always have to pay someone for something.

When i brought my stuff over, the container people dealt with it, i just went into limmasol, sign a piece of paper and the container came same day. As for cost, couldn't say, it was all part of the transportation package, sorry mate. If i were you i would get an agent and its not worth the aggro for what you will have to pay.

Don’t do it yourself, get your shipper or your shipper’s agent to do it all for you – unless of course you can speak, read and write Greek flently!
