Dont comment on things you have not experienced.
Maybe you should post your address so all the BAD Turks can come to your place rape everyone kill a few people force you out steal everything you own since you have no hatred in your heart and you are so forgiving of your brother Turks.
I think everyone answered your question at the referendum about me being the only one who thinks this way.

even if kalahari posted his adress nothing bad would have happened to him.
once again, check your calendar : it sais 2006!!
the attrocities in a war are always bad , and the ones the gcs commited were no better either.
moreover let me remind you that our official position is to share this country with our compatriots.

you know, i was about to post my address just to show you how rediculous your above statement was.... but then i realised, that even though i have nothing to fear from turkey personnally, there is indeed a greek / gc group that i should be afraid of when doing that ..... you know who i mean dont you

so i guess you are right....its not safe to do such things in cyprus. love is not in the air. thats why bicommunal meetings will be done in secret from now on .....

So that's it, is it?

Malaka's ridiculous, tragic "arguments" have won?

Why? Because he is full of hate, because he threatens violence.

"Post your address," he says, "and we'll come round and kill you! Then we'll see how much love is in the air, you rational, appeasing, peace-loving bastard!"

No Malaka, love is not in the air. And I have no doubt that, while you live and breathe, you are determined to ensure that it never will be.

And it is people like you that would rather see Cyprus burn than allow men to live together like brothers.

Now tell me – I challenge you – that I've got you all wrong, that I have misunderstood your cause, that the above statements are disgusting, insulting and ignorant.

I will write you the humblest apology that I can muster – because I desperately want to see some good in you Malaka, and in the minority of GCs that think like you. I need to have that hope for the island.

To try to open up this debate a little, can we look at the opening gambit from malaka a slightly different way?

We all now know how Malaka feels about this subject, unless he comes back to me with a real surprise statement (which I hope he does and would love him to do).

Can we consider the statement:

IN YOUR EXPERIENCE, HOW COMMON AMONG ARE THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY MALAKA?
(Let's use a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is not very common and 5 is very common indeed.)

By all means qualify your response with arguments, but let's try to avoid veiled threats of violent death, eh?

dont worry kalahari.
first you call malakas arguments pathetic. i disagree with you. i believe that is is not even an argument to deserve a description.
second malaka, didnot threaten anyone. he just posed typical extreme fears , and i replied back that the last signs of stupidity where actually from a very specific gc group, attempting to disturbe bicommunal meetings.

as for how often these views are.... well people like that come and go the whole time. some carry fears, some carry hate, some just rasism , some undermine completely our compatriots, some the turks, some try to include this conflict in a world christian muslim battle.... being here for a while now, i ve seen a number of absurdities. i will not speak for the other side bc it should be the concern of tcs imo.
but dont worry. if you stay for a while you ll get used to them
and at some point you will realise that ignoring them is far better strategy. they get bored and leave faster that way
in the meantime, those who do care about reunification and co-existance use these forums to discuss and even better meet and get to know people.
dont worry, they havent won yet.

I would strongly recommend to Mal****ka the read this book " The power of your subconcious mind" By Dr Joseph and Murphy. Not only to him but anyone who wants personal development. I recommend it.

It cost only 8.99 and I am sure you can find it even in the internet.

Thanks fellas, I respect your experience with people like Malaka. While I am sure that I will get used to it, I am certain I will never truly understand it. Perhaps in that malaka was right.

Regarding the book recommendation, it would be great if Malaka did buy himself a copy. He criticised me and said perhaps I am the one who needed help. Never one to avoid criticism, I have just ordered my copy on Amazon, and am expecting it in three days time. Over to you Malaka. Hope you enjoy the read.

People like malaka????

Understand what It is pretty basic. The Turks not all of them came to my house killed family members stole everything forced us out at gun point
and you creticise me for having hatred in my heart call me racist etc
because I dislike the Turks that did this??
Then you suggest that I get help hence you are the one that needs help.

Call my views extreme call them what you like.

Post your address was a figure of speach I will put it to you another way.

If I come to your place kill some of your familly members steal every thing you own force you out at gun point Then you ask me to come and negotiate with you it would all be ok.

Common sense in any language says NOT NEGOTIABLE.
How would you feel Would you consider me your brother neighbor
I DONT THINK SO

malaka
i am sorry for your family members.
i also come from a refuggee family. in cyprus is very difficult to find families that did not experienced pain. every third cypriot is a refugee, and if we dont turn pain into forgiveness , but instead into hate it will only lead us to more hate and no solution. never forget also that the pain is not a gc exclusive. i could even give you examples from members in the forum and you can check it yourself. an old member called gabaston lost members of his family in cofinou (where only civilians were killed). birkibrisli -who could appear any time soon (hope he does.... perhaps realising that we are not the only ones to suffer will make you understand the complexity of the cyppro) , out of the fear of gcs was taught to use a handgranate by the age of 10 or 12 , to protect his family when the greek came... now, if every person in cyprus that suffered one way or another in the period 1955-1974, turned his pain into hate then we would never discuss the prospect of reunification. believe me, if i had the fear that what happened in the past had a chance of happening again, i would also oppose reunification. but as i said many times , you need to meet with tcs or turks, to get this picture of the barbarous killer out of your head. they are just people like us, and like us they want a solution to the cyppro.... the only problem is that they are as stubborn as we are.....
