TURKISH GREEK BLACK & WHITE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Kartal_Aetos » Sat Jul 01, 2006 1:47 pm

Miltiades, Greece couldn't accept cyprus from the british as they were scared of defeat if they go to war as they would have been fighting much stronger militaries than that of its own

Also, Turkey had no choice but to renounce claims to Cyprus after the first world war as the british annexed the island at the start of the campaign and turkey were still trying to regather themselves from taking back modern-day turkey from occupation forces...

Malaka, u've had a history of hating TC's so im not going to waste my time with u....maybe an admin will finally kick you out for being such a hate-breeding propagandist...u say y should 200,000 people suffer for a handfull of GC's...WHY SHOULD ANY TC's SUFFER BECAUSE OF A HANDFUL OF TC'S??? WE DIDNT WANT ENOSIS, WE WERE HAPPY AS ROC...WE WERE EVEN HAPPY UNDER BRITISH RULE...I DIDNT ASK FOR WHAT HAPPENED IN CYPRUS BUT I TOO SUFFER JUST LIKE YOU!!! I TOO WISH MY UNCLES WERENT TAKEN TO THE MOUNTAINS AND SHOT AT POINT BLANK!!! I TOO WISH ALL THE SO CALLED "HEROES" OF THE WAR NEVER EVER NEEDED AN EXCUSE EVER TO COME TO THE ISLAND IN THE FIRST PLACE...I WISH THAT ALL THE PLEASANT GC COMPATRIOTS OF MINE ON HERE I HAD MET IN THE VILLAGE AT THE KAFENEION, NOT ON A INTERNET FORUM WHERE WE DISCUSS HOW OUR ISLAND CAN ONE DAY BECOME A PEACEFUL ONE!!!

now leave me alone and go do ur anti-turk protests in ur street with ur greece flag...we're real cypriots having intellectual discussions on the matter, not fascist pigs fed with too much propaganda from the "motherlands"....go out on the streets and blame ME for the war...blame ME for everything that we have gone through...and then tell me WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND

Hey, we can't blame every TC for what a handful did to the GC's, and we can't blame every GC's for what a handful did to the TC's.....those were unstable times, people mistrusted each other, both communities suffered...We need to learn to trust each other again, move on and look to the future!!

Peace!! :)

we'll tie a really big-ass speaker to the top of my volkswagen and drive around preaching our ways...lol

i kno one way to unite the GC's and TC's...

i'll need 450,000 cups of coffee, a couple of thousand cigarette packs, a hell of a lotta ouzo, Kebabs (or souvla as GC's call it) and a tavli board...lol

Hi guys

It's been a while since I've visited, been too busy at work, but I dropped in this morning to see two new faces talking a lot of sense, one old friend continuing to educate us with some good hard fact (Hi Miltiades, I hope you are well my friend) and one old nemesis still banging on the same drum (G'day malaka, how's life in Oz? Not that bad, I bet.) Natty and Kartal – don't get too upset by malaka – you'll find that he's harmless enough. I'm still waiting to read your story by the way malaka – try to find some time, won't you my friend? The really good news is that the number of people on this site who will help you with the coffee party is bigger than you think! I'm in for a start, and I'm sure I can speak for my friend miltiades too. The movement is definitely towards peace and unity. The population of the island is now 10% expat Brit – that is a significant minority, and their voice will not be pro Greece or Turk, you can be sure of that. Our plans for emigration have had a set back, I'm very sad to say, but we're still off to the island in three weeks time – my family are very excited and I can't wait.

I aim to make Cyprus my new home and I am most definitely up for Natty and Kartal's challenge. I have every intention of getting involved to create a peaceful union for my new home. So count me in with the coffee party!!

Nice to see there's some optimism on the site.

Love to you all, Kal.

All I can say is that out of the two I am sure the Turks are the less of the 2 evils
