TURKISH GREEK BLACK & WHITE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Viewpoint » Mon May 15, 2006 2:58 pm

No one wants war as brings out the worst in people because what they have to lose is just no property but something much more important their lives.

Malaka unfortunately there is no magic wand that can be waved to resolve the property issue. Some refugees will be luckier than others but what should be taken into account is that people on both sides will have to compromise. If the property commssion ishandled correct imo it will provide an opportunity to resolve some of the cases where people are willing to recieive comprensation rather than wait for a solution that may never materialize.

There is a majic wand every legall owner gets back what they own GC TC
This will illiminate any arguments on both sides.

Returning the property back to the rightful owners nullifies the reasons behind the invasion.
Therefore highly unlikely to happen

Well there will never be a solution if your theory is correct.

Yes, or think of it the opposite way, Mustafa builds same hotel on Yorgos land, in the north, the lands value is 200k and the hotel is 5mil, how do you solve it?

The way to solve this is to offer Yiorgos compensation on the value of his land and leave Mustafa where he is.

And when Yiorgos built a hotel at Mustafas Land valued at 500,000 in the SOuth then compensate Mustafa at the value of his land and leave Yiorgos where he is!
