Well we either negotiate and find a solution or its going to be another 332 years before anything happens. Is it best that we compromise or we get nothing at all? Lets stop being hotheaded Greeks for a minute and think like the smart people we are.

I also disagree with Piratis claiming that the TCs have been brainwashed by the Partition dream. This is out of question at all! What would you expect the TCs to do Piratis? The option of partition is the only option that its being left to them to choose from

the TCs where not brainwashed in a partition dream they wanted all of Cyprus to be united with Turkey dont you get it becasue they see themselfs as Turks Not Cypriots they started making accuses that they where not getting there rights. Also the TMT was made by a turkish generals not Turkish Cypriots but ralf dnetash was a advisor in that terrorist group so then greek Cypriots reacted badly to the TCS because of that and they supported EOKA in response. have you ever wondered to yourself why makarios didnt like the Turkish Cypriots? there was a reason for him not to like the turkish Cypriots its becasue he knew they where traitors and wanted Cyprus to be under turkish control and also dont forget makarios did not support eoka B or the junta

Ranting and raving is obviously your style , Im pleased that you repressent a very small minority of Cypriots who will go on damaging the spirit of Cyprus , more so the case for the Greek Cypriots. I want all Cypriots to leave in peace with each other , the 80% Greeks and the 18% Turkish Cypriots and all other ethnic groups. Turkey invaded Cyprus primarily because of the military coup. This is an undisputable fact.What we have to learn is that in order to re unite our island there are certain pre conditions that have to be negotiated. First and foremost is for both communities to let go of the past , how long Turkish Cypriots have been in Cyprus , how long the Greeks , who commited this and that attrocity , who owns the right to be in Cyprus etc etc. I will not respond to any more of your posts and I advice all others to also refrain from debating with you, since Im genuinely convinced that your outbursts are detrimental to THE WELL BEING OF ALL CYPRIOTS.

Miltiades-I dont believe that the majority of TC's want partition now -even if they wanted it then it would only have been a defensive reaction to Enosis. Indeed if proof were needed that they would prefer a united Cyprus as I think we all do is that they voted yes to the Annan plan. I am not sure that the majority of GC's want to live with the TC's again(what was the result of the last poll les than 50%). I believe the majority of the TC would want the Turkish army to go home once an overall solution is reached. What I dont see at the moment is any political will from the GC leadership to reach a settlement on any terms other than their own. You cant have a settlement without the willingness to compromise.
I too lived through those times and I knew what it was like to be driven from your home and made homeless and destitute in your own country 10 years before my GC compatriots found out. I am not saying that our suffering justifies yours-it doesnt and it only proves the futility and senselessness of our troubles in Cyprus.
We need politicians in charge who genuinely want a solution, particularly on the GC side-doesnt look like to me that Mr T.Papa is not really interested in a solution-only a long open ended process that will eventually grind the opposition down. Correct me if I am wrong.
