hello again

looking to buy a small but cheap car to use when we come over for holidays instead of hiring cars all the time(not cheap),anyone know a good place to try?
does it make sense to buy rather than rent,what with buying a car,insurance,maintenance etc.

I highly recomment "Mandilas" in Larnaca. I bought my car from there, and 1 year on, when the slightest thing goes wrong with it, he tells me where to take it to get it fixed free of charge. He gave me a 2 year warranty on my car rather than the standard 1 year that most places give.

Cars in Cyprus cost alot more than they do in the UK.

Insurance in Cyprus is pretty cheap. I'll give you an example.....

Mitsubishi Lancer, 1.5MX built is December 2000 costs me 180per year fully comprehensive at Gan Direct. If you come 2-3 times a year, is it worth buying a car? keeping it parked up for months on end does more damage to a car than good. You're probably better of hiring a small car every time rather than buying one....thats my opinion anyway.
