Let's play the politician...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Thanks for the support to the suggestions I made. I truly believe that a plan like that would be acceptable for most Cypriots.

Unfortunately some foreigners have other plans for us and they will make everything possible to serve their own interests. This is why they create plans for "solutions" that either we accept them either we don't their interests will be served anyways. When they create the plan they will always come out winners and we will always be the losers. The question is: Do we have the power to defeat their "divide and rule" policy and serve our common interests in our common island?

Mehmet, personally and most Greek Cypriots would gladly accept your proposals. What you are talking about is the ideal. What I was talking about is something that can be acceptable by the majorities of both communities today. In any case I believe that if the solution is the one that will create common interests for the two communities, then in the future when the suspicion will end we might be able to move to something better for all of us.

Brother, I don't know what is funny.

Piratis, yes I am an idealist. I am also realistic enough to know I am in a minority at the moment but that's not a concern, sometimes it's the best position to be in. If a federal solution is offered of course I would accept it as I think it would be better than what we have currently. I repeat that time is running out I don't want to be Papadopoulos's age the next time a solution is offered.
