i got nothing against multicultarism i myself live in the UK a multicultural society where my parents came to after the Turkish Invasion but in the UK people buy there own homes they did not steal them like the thieve turks did in 1974 and i am sure in NY they dont steal homes there either so whats your point ?

i know that Turk cypriots exist but unfortunatly they exist as invaders and occupiers in Cyprus for 400years they can exist but not in our land they should exist in Turkey where they came from they are not my compratriots they are my occupiers and opressors i want them out if that makes me a nationlist then so be it i am aslo sure you would like to take over New york to and the Europe why dont you try and reclaim mongolia its where you all came from

Wouldn't you agree that you do sound hypocritical that you are quite happy to stay in a multi cultural society but dont wish to see a multi cultural society in Cyprus?

Well, don't we have a colorful multi culturual discussion going on. Why is there so much hatred in the world? Nationalism is the root of all evil. Don't get me wrong..I am proud of my heritage as we all should be..but I was taught to live together with my friends and my enemies. Isn't 400 years of hatred long enough.

they are people. just like us.
the tcs who live in cyprus didnot come here as invaders. they were born here, by parents who were born here whose parents were born here, whose... they are as cypriots as we are. and they, just like us got infected by the diseace called nationalism. now we are trying to get over it and try to live together like it was the case in the past.
this idea of "we came here first" is not how i see the future of this island.
instead, the two together can have a richer society in terms of language, culture...and economics .
how about you join us gcgirl ?

stuballstu i doubt your a greek Cypriot your probably Turkish Cypriot what did i say that was racist? i said Turk Cypriots where invaders from years ago and that they should exist but not in our country its a fact not racist it was the turkish Cypriots who where racist and wanted Cyprus to be part of Turkey they where the ones who asked Turkey to invade they Supported Turkey invading Cyprus and also being a nationlist does make you racist, racist and nationlist are 2 differnet words

So where do you propose Turkish Cypriots should exist then as they are are much Turkish as Greek Cypriots are Greek?

correct its just a pity you dont know the difference. I'll let some other Greek Cypriots who have grown up with tolerence and respect for other people and their cultures explain the differences to you. There are quite a few of them members of this board.
