Apart from Cyprus and Greece most other EU members don't want Turkey anywhere near the EU.Greece and Cyprus obviously want a stable coexistance and good neighbourly relations with Turkey but other countries see no benefit to Turkish EU membership.They just see hordes of welfare seekers.

The only other EU member who openly wants Turkey in the EU is Britain for other lap dog reasons.

France, Germany, Austria, you name an EU country apart from( Cyprus , Greece and Britain )will continue to stand behind Cyprus to Block Turkish Accession. What are these countries going to do if Cyprus is unified and liberated and Cyprus and Turkey start to actually cooperate and improve relations? Maybe these countires are banking that there is no chance this will ever happen and so they force Turkey to try to accede to the EU through Cyprus.

only UK wants Turkey in EU. Cyprus and Greece want Turkey in EU only if Turkey stops occupying Cyprus. Otherwise Greece and Cyprus don't want Turkey in EU either.

Voila Agios you solved the problem, it used to be Greece where they were hiding behind, Greece nicely stoped being as a little kid and left behind "i want my Turkey with orange syhrup" attitude and others find another goat to milk that is what we call Southern Cyprus...

Akiner- what do we(Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots) do? Do we form a legal,democratic and unified country or will Cyprus be the issue which ends Turkey's EU adventure?

Britain & usa wants turkey to join the EU, also greece wants turkey to join only because they are shit scared of turkey invading one of there islands in the agean sea, greece is gutless towards turkey.

lysi i agree with you , i also think that greece has no spine and does not care a jot about cyprus.personally i would not like to see turkey in the eu as i think it would more problems for cyprus..

The EU is going to collapse under its own weight, if it lets Turkey join. There is not enough money in the EU to fund the country and the people will just disappear into other EU countries and be a burden there.
