Human Rights Laws vs Law of the Jungle

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Human Rights Laws vs Law of the Jungle

Postby Agios Amvrosios » Sun Apr 02, 2006 2:33 pm

Greek Cypriots seem to be focusing Western humanist philosophies in terms of want they expect a solution. Humanist ideals such as individual human rights, the European Charter of Human Rights the Geneva Convention are invoked to support the rights of refugees to return to their towns and villages.

Some Turkish Cypriots seem to focus on group punishment and the law of the jungle. I've read statements like the Republic of Greece (run by a crazy military Junta at the time)"gambled" with the Greek Cypriots and therefore (under the Law of the Jungle) every last ethnic Greek deserves to be removed from the face of the map in places like Kyrenia et cetera.

The Cyprus problem will only be solved when these people either become extinct like the Tyranosaurus Rex and a new breed of western Humanist Turkish Cypriots is born.

There are some Turkish Cypriots on this site saying "ethnic cleansing other ethnic groups is their right" .

We also heard by some that: "possession is the 99% of the law" I guess they reffered to the law of junge that you talk about.
