So the liberated northern part of Cyprus from Cypriots??? Greek Cypriots were the huge majority in the now occupied areas. Do you realize this simple fact you old thieving immoral crook?

Liberation = When the locals liberate their own land from foreign occupation.
Invasion/Occupation = When foreigners invade and occupy land that does not belong to them.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers or books. Some views are VERY biased. There is even the theory that it was all instigated by the Americans just so that they could keep their listening posts in the Northern parts of Cyprus, because the Greeks wanted them out. Have you looked into that??? I like to hear both sides of the story before jumping to any conclusions. I lived in Cyprus during the troubles and I can see it from both sides but I don't side with either. Let them sort it out for themselves. They have enough problems of their own without us adding to them. Eventually in the end they will come to realise that in order to get on in the modern world they have to learn to co-exist with each other, especially if they want to join the EU.

In contrast, what happened in Cyprus is very similar to what the Nazis did by invading Czechoslovakia during world war 2.

similar but not the same, Turkey did not take the entire island, they took one third, they are still prepeared to give some back. Turkey left the majority of Cyprus for the gc's to live in anyway they wish. Gcs can pass any law they wish, and live as they wish.

You are free to trade, play, live and enjoy the beneifts of Cyprus, and soon the tc's will also be able to enjoy such equality and liberties. It is sad that the cost of this equal liberty has been paid for with so much misery, and hatred.

The Turks have performed ethnic cleansing over the majority of the local population and have replaced them with settlers from Turkey.

If you agree to a settlement, be prepared for one hundred thousand tcs from london returning. If not then the tc population must not be allowed to dwindle still further, especially in light of the mass exodus of tc's from cyprus due to lack of opportunity under the pre 74 govt.,

You seem to forget that the so called "trnc" is a pseudo-state bulit on stolen land, and the economic isolation (which you called embargo) is the result of that stealing and ethnic cleansing of 200,000 GCs

In the UK you all speak the same language. So nobody would know if you are Catholic or Protestand or whatever. Here unfortunately we speak different languages. It is a fact that our mentality and looks are identical. Unfortunately however as soon as we open our mouths, the banner comes out.

Recognition of the TRNC is an absolute certainty and if there were a bookies somewhere giving even money odds I would put a grand on it today, Its only a matter of who punches the first hole in the embargo, the USA, UK. Israel. Perhaps one of the middle east states.

Once the first flight lands directly into the TRNC, there will be a deluge of Airlines competing to fly direct. After all money talks the loudest, even in the political corridors of power. Once the embargo bubble bursts there will be an upsurge in investment in the north, The rest as they say is history, or is it the Future ?

How about you go to New York wearing a t-shirt of Bin Laden and burning USA flags and see how many "unreasonable extremists" you will find there as well.
