Cyprus invasion.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby MR-from-NG » Wed Mar 29, 2006 4:51 pm

THE ENTIRE WORLD LOOKS DOWN UPON WHAT TURKEY HAS DONE! the whole world!!! thats a very lage population of people who strongly believe that what tukey has done is revolting!

Again talking out of your poohole. If what you say is fact how is it the ROC has no support, no sympathy from the rest of the world. You guys are so blinkered that you no longer can see facts.

Anyway you carry on with your fantasies of going back to pre 74. You don't really matter in our struggles, it is the rest of the world that is important and they all know the facts now. So in a nut-shell you are screwed!

You call me racist when I have never ever denounced an entire civilization as you have just done.

Where have I denounced a whole civilization? The ones who invade and steal the land of others and brutally butcher people in the process and perform ethnic cleansing are not barbarians? Are these people civilized according to you?

I called you racist because you support the violation of the human rights of people because of the race they belong. You also support the discrimination of people based on their race. If this is not racist then I don't know what is.

Do you really believe that the solution for the Cyprus problem is for Turkey to leave tomorrow? Does your brain not realize this will lead to sudden total anarchy and the sudden re-oppression of the TC's.

There will be no anarchy since Republic of Cyprus will apply its laws in the occupied part of Cyprus in the same way is done in the free part. Is this anarchy??
And what sudden "re-oppression of the TC's" are you talking about? Why you have to give such lame excuses to justify the crimes of Turkey?
Cyprus is an EU state and TCs would be equal EU citizens. Is that oppression according to you?? Do you know that the TC minority in Cyprus was given more right than any other minority in the whole world?
Are all the other minorities also "oppressed" according to you? Maybe they should also perform ethnic cleansing and steal the land of others so they will not be oppressed?

Respect is needed, yes, but that is lacking on both sides. Your de-emphasis of trust as a crucial ingredient is ignorant.

I didn't say trust is not needed. I said respect is a prerequisite for trust. Do you have comprehension problems?

The laws you state of preventing racists from gaining power are clearly useless, seeing as the immigration authorities of the RoC are the most racist people I've ever had the misfortune to meet.

You could say the same for all immigration offices in the whole world if you have dealings with them. Do you do know that Cyprus had the highest percentage of immigrants in the whole world last year?

Tell me, oh wise one, do you really honestly and truly believe you will reach a solution whereby one day Turkey will up and leave? That's it?

Oh, tell me you wise Nazi, do you think we should accept the human rights violations against us to satisfy your criminal demands?

Tcklm

Its obvious mate that you are sick of the “you did this we didn’t do anything” mentality
So I won’t go into any of that stuff

Its also obvious that you are on the right track about the fate of Cyprus should be in the hands of the Cypriots, however there is plenty reason on both sides, that each should not trust the other,

I still maintain that the first step is a twin federation of states starting off with independent governments whose security is Guaranteed by the EEC, with the recognition of both states and security guaranteed by Europe there will be no need of turkish or Greek troops on the island,
Hopefully as time passes with no borders or politics to separate the island the populations will bleed into each other again, With a new respect and tolerance for each others differing religious views trade will take over and the New Cypriots neither greek or Turkish might again rule their own destiny.

The Cypriot people both sides of the Border are the most hospitable and kindest people I have come across that’s why I am moving to Cyprus to live in April, But they have their extremists too, on both sides of the border. The extremists will unfortunately always shout louder than the ordinary good hearted Cypriot guy, and we hear much more from the extremist view than the ordinary guy, thank god under a democracy the good guys and the extremists have one vote each.
and thank god the ordinary good guys both sides of the border well outnumber the extremists

Or Nazi's apparently  Damn, I never knew.....

Piratis, the sudden departure of Turkey would lead to huge problems of discrimination for the TC's, of that I am certain.... you say the TC's had more rights bla bla bullshit ..... what rights do you have when you are forced into enclaves and defend yourself with guns and they were actually not even represented in the government. Yes i know they walked out, but they had concerns which GCs werent willing to listen to just as now.

Having lived outside Cyprus many times before, the immigration authorities abroad are most certainly not always like that. In Switzerland, I am treated with the utmost respect every single visit and so is everyone else I know, so shut ur trap. The RoC immigration authorities are dispicable in their open racism and treatment of people and they are never disciplined for it.

As a moderator Piratis you should stop your countless insults against people and races. I am not a Nazi, nor do I hate GC's (though you are questionable). I never supported the occupation of territory and I believe in a united Cyprus that all Cypriots will be free to do what they like anywhere on the island (under the law of course). How exactly am I racist? Cos I dislike your views? Then fine... I am.

bakala I do not completely agree with the twin independant states part entirely, but I do agree in the principle of the whole thing that starting with two states united under a unity government may be practical for an interim solution, but would also (knowing us Cypriots and all) be stuck in that state for a long long time. How about the twin-governance of Famagusta, a GC/TC mix and see how that goes. Build trust, show each other that we do not value one more than the other and demonstrate that a united Cyprus will be one for all Cypriots, free of discrimination and all that stuff Piratis says about 50000 times a day.

Someday the Cypriots will call them selves neither Greek or Turkish then and only then will they really have a chance of finding common ground

In the UK there were Catholics and Protestants. I never referred to myself as a protestant Englishman only an Englishman. I never heard the Description catholic Englishman; I don’t hear Islamic Englishman, Or Hindu Englishman.
England is one of the most Multicultural countries on earth yet there is very little religious strife

Why is it that there are only two types of Cypriots, Greek or Turkish?, why do they have to wear their Greek ness or Turkish ness like a banner all the time

Why do we have to have Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots?

isint just plain old Cypriot good enough ?

Trust is the hardest thing in the world to build, and so fragile once built. it only takes a small act of treachery to break the longest lasting partnership, So the trust between the Cypriots must be rebuilt i think we all agree on that.
the need to trade and the removal of borders is essential,
once both sides start unrestricted trade it will be the first important step in building the new trust. New partnerships will be born between north and south and the best healing process for any two contries in conflict will start. its called open trade.

the first move is for the south to end the embargo while they still can, because if they dont the rest of the world will end it for them If they dont do it now they will loose a chance to demonstrate the will to end the problem.

recognition for the TRNC is on its way and nothing will stop it

tcklim, you keep contradicting yourself. First you say TCs were forced into enclaves and then you say "Yes i know they walked out". You say that you never supported the occupation of any part of Cyprus, yet your whole arguments show the exact opposite. You claim that you are not a racist supporting human rights violations, yet you do just that.

I explained you how you are racist: You support the violations of the rights of Greek Cypriots simply because of the race they belong, and you support that Greek and Turkish Cypriots should be separated and discrimination should exist based on their race. On the other hand I say that the human rights of no Cypriot should be violated and that that all Cypriots should be equal citizens with equal rights.

recognition for the TRNC is on its way and nothing will stop it

There is no way that the ethnic cleansing that Turkey performed on our island will be legalized. Cyprus is our island and we never asked for any "trnc". And if we didn't ask for such thing nobody else has the right to force it on us.
Of course as I said earlier, and thanks for proving me right, in Cyprus some foreigners were always forcing their will against the will of Cypriots.

But we have every right to fight against such actions, and we will.

We know why balaka supports human rights violations and ethnic cleansing. He is one of the criminals that "bought" stolen Greek Cypriot land in the occupied areas and now he wants return on his illegal investment.

Now it is obvious who the "nice" people that you side with are tcklim.
