Hi,

Can everybody give me an idea of prices for renting a small flat, may be 30 square meters or only a room in Nicosia on a long term basis, at least six months. I have got a job offer there, however I am still unsure about living costs, especially flats, room, suite etc.

This price is for a furnished one, isn`t it ?
Do you know something about salary reductions, tax about 20 %, but will there be some other reductions from the gross salary ?

they used to take out social security and all that but I dont know anymore.

From the gross salary they will take out social security at about 7%. Then you pay income tax depending on how much you make per year. If you make less than about 10.000 Cy pounds per year you don't pay income tax.
