Perhaps their only reason to open up their air space is to shoot them down! Pesky Turks!

cypezokyli wrote:what came to our press today sadik , was that the airspace for international companies flying from cyprus was always open. but this new proposal excludes cyprus airways. so it offers practically nothing. bc, in general i dont trust the press, could you tell us more on what this article sais ?

just to see what was offered and what not, bc we seem to get different info

Serdar was basically saying that the airspace would be opened for the use of Cyprus Airways. He said this in the morning in an interview, but he denied saying this in the afternoon. This is the Denktas family. They always want to draw attention. They are also experts in confusing the people.

I guess what is interesting is Serdar Denktash admitting that they had talks and agreement with Turkey to open the airspace to Cyprus aircraft.

He wouldn't be saying this if it wasn't true, would he?
I think what happened was that Denktash gave the strategy away unintentionally, because he didn't realise it was only about other foreign aircraft,so he jumped in to save face...only to stuff it up
