Well the point isnt to have the law. Its to enforce it. I dont think a very good job is being done. When my family came over last christmas they were very amazed my daughter was just sitting down and actually buckling herself. They even said that a lot of people still hold infants in their arms in the car like it used to be about 6 years ago when I was still there. Holding your kid in your arms doesnt really protect it if there is an accident. you will probably lose it and it will be the first thing to hit the windshield. I mean even if you hate follwoing laws and such and dont want to strap yourself in, is it worth the life of your child? I think its child endangerment. There is nothing wrong with a kid sitting down being good and wearing her/his seatbelt in the car. The ride is still enjoyable to them if you teach them it is a must and they dont know different.
