i like cyprus and i can not wait to move out there..but my wife keeps talking about spain? dose any one know which is the best move to make..

she likes almeria..dont get us wrong she likes cyprus but if we find it hard to find work till we settle she said it would be easy to fly back from spain to get work(dont really want to be doing that)

I dont want to advise either way mate That would not be fair.

I moved here a while ago, I work here, but it aint easy to find. But then, not sure what the situ is in Spain.

Maybe a solution would be to set yourselves up in Cyp short term, give yourselves a period of time, then go to Spain and compare! There's no substitute for personal experience.

sounds a good way to go (rent for a bit as you say) spain or cyp as got to be better then england, thanks for your reply..

I believe property in Spain is on average about 30-50% higher than Cyprus.

Spain is sunny most of the year but records say that Cyprus has more sunny days than Spain. SPA 0 CYP 1

People
The majority of Spanish people(tourist areas) are very rude. Cypriots in tourist areas are very friendly indeed. SPA 0 CYP 2

Spain probably edges it.
2-1 to Cyprus

Property prices
3-1 to Cyprus

Sports
La Liga is the best league in Europe (behind the English Premiership)
Another one to SPA.

Oh and crime.
Cyprus comes out winner again!!!!!

I just wanted to add that I like the medical facilities in CY better than Spain.
Attached by a jelly fish in Spain basic help in Ibiza.
On the other hand step on a Sea Urchin in paralimni and the hospital was amazing.
