Welcome Tracy :)

In what ways you expect your life to be better when you move to Cyprus?

Hi tracy, did the same thing a couple of years ago. What kind of jobb will you be looking for?5k sterling is not enough to start a home in cyprus, furniture and electrical stuff is still very expensive,it's all depending on the wage you are looking for.

Hi :D

We are hoping to rent long term to make sure we like it there so most of the money will go on rent/bills etc. We have had enough of the UK, our council tax has gone up yet again, our rent for a 2 bedroom flat is silly we cant buy because house prices are enormous where we live, our streets are full of kids throwing abuse when you step outside and are always hanging round the cars - we have had enough! we have decided that if it doesnt work at least we tried and can always come back to the UK. We have no children, no morgage so we feel its time to throw caution to the wind! :D xxxxx

Tell me about it. I've even started leaving the keys in the ignition, but no bugger will nick it ;)

Seriously though, the more you bring, the easier it will be for you out here. Whatever you do though, when you first come over, don't think of Cyprus as one long holiday, otherwise you will find that you won't know where you have spent your money :)

What part of Cyprus are you looking to move to Tracy?

Your question is too vague.

The difference between Larnaca and Paphos is the same as the difference between London and Glasgow, one is full of English; the other isn't.

Amy,

You don’t have to actually live in one or the other to gain easy access to the airport.

I can’t comment on your current location but com[pared to the UK there is hardly any traffic congestions here, driving is easy and the roads are excellent.

So you’d actually have a choice of hundreds of towns and village that you could live in and still be able to get to the airport in fifteen minutes.

I’d suggest you come out and rent for a while to give you the opportunity to try and find the place that really works for you – don’t worry about the airport tho.
