Hi folks

I am a keen Laser sailor, moving to Limassol over the next 18 months or so. Having never been to Cyprus, we are heading to Limassol in July for a recce. What is the situation with sailing in the area? Rationally, one would expect it to be good, but some help would be welcomed. I have sailed other craft, but my first love is for Lasers, and this is the sort of sailing I would be looking for. Is there anywhere in Limassol where I could hire when we're over in July, preferably a club which would have possibilities when we move over in 2007.

You should visit a friend of mine who has a very reputable water sports business in front of the Four Seasons and Mediterranean Hotels in Limassol (Amathus area). He is very good at what he does. I know he has Hobbie Cats (not sure of spelling!) and possibly Lasers. Any way, he would point you in the right direction.

He he, I knwo this guy, used to work there for a couple of summers.
I belive You have to try the Hobbie cats, they are incredible!
I bet if you try them you will change your mind about the lasers!
We cannot wait till the waether is right to sail!
do not worry about sailing, you will find enough clubs who can provide you with a laser, although you have to become a memebr and stuff, you know, the usual....
